This wine is made with the Solera method, where a set of vintages are combined and rotated. Through this blending process, older wines are supplied with the nutrients of younger wines, enabling the development of yeasts and assuring consistency in flavor and alcohol. Cool!
The nose is grassy- I smell lots of green herbs, and castelvetrano olives. The palate is currant and plum up front, but finishes with a surprising unctuous salinity, and lovely mellow tannins.
