The Fricandóis one of 3 wines made by the dedicated biodynamic pracitcers at Al di là del Fiume (over the river.) Albana grapes are hand harvested, destemmed, and then macerated on the skins for 3 weeks before spending 8 months in amphorae clay pots. The wine is bottled unfined, unfiltered and unsulfured, for a brightly oxidative palate with herbal accents, a coating umami mouthfeel and mineral finish. This is elegant, brilliantly made orange wine that we're thrilled to have on the list (and in our glasses) this fall.
