The Loi family have just always run the Cardedu vineyard naturally. They dry farm native varietals on the cliffs of Sardegna, use no chemicals, ferment their grapes with indigenous yeasts and have a hands-off approach in the cellar- because that’s the way they’ve always done it, not because they're looking for a feature in Bon Appetit.
The Astili is a field blend from their oldest and highest altitude vineyards. We get red plum and woody herbs, with electric acidity and just enough tannin to hold up it all up. Fun and funky!
