New Zealand transplant Nick Gee set up shot in 2010 in the foothills of the Pohorje range near the Austrian border. His focus is naturally made, terroir driven driven wines made from native Slovenian varietals.
A gorgeous cloudy peach color in the glass, with grapefruit and mango notes on the nose. It has some delicate structure but this isn't an overly tannic orange wine. I get ripe grapefruit and some tropical notes, lots of peaches and pineapple on the palate, with clean acidity and salty, slightly pithy finish.
